The Sanaa Sanifu Charter
Summary of provisions · Draft summary · The foundational instrument establishing SASENI and ordering the economy. The Charter text prevails once it is published.
Establishment
Sanaa Sanifu is the institutional home of an emerging financial architecture for the creative and cultural economy. The Charter establishes SASENI, the Sanaa Sanifu Economic Network & Institution, and defines its mandate to govern and steward the Sanaa Sanifu Economy.
Founding Principle
Verified creative production is economic production. Creative work that has been verified and recognised enters the economy as production: it is measured, may receive monetary recognition, and takes part in financial infrastructure.
The Three Systems
S₵ defines verified value and governs money. S⁴ executes and settles the monetary system. SSI™ measures the resulting economy through GCP, PI and TRI. The systems are separate in operation and united in mandate.
Principles of Conduct Proposed
Drawn from the Sanaa Sanifu and BOSANAA design materials: transparency (measurement published, the institution able to be seen into), finality (settlement that is clear about when it is final), proportionality (issuance bound to verified value), continuity (institutions built to endure across generations) and clarity (plain language in public instruments).
Governance Proposed
SASENI governs and stewards the economy. The order below is proposed for adoption through the Charter: authority sits with a council, which oversees one standing committee for each of the three systems. No monetary, settlement or measurement decision would take effect outside this order.
Trajectory
The economy precedes the bank. Once the economy has matured in scale, trust and continuity, the Sanaa Sanifu Bank (SSB) can emerge as the financial institution of the economy. SSB is the destination, not the starting point.
Charter, Governance & Frameworks
Each instrument is listed with what it will establish and where it stands. Expand a row for the abstract.
Establishes SASENI, defines its mandate, sets the founding principle of verified value, and orders S₵, S⁴ and SSI™ under one institution. The constitutional instrument of the economy.
Establishes verified value, Verified Creative Capital (VCC), valuation, monetary policy, issuance, supply, treasury and reference value for S₵ – Sanaa Credits.
Will define identity (S.I.), wallet custody, ledger structure, settlement finality, treasury execution and API interoperability requirements for participating platforms.
Will specify the construction of GCP, PI and TRI: sources, quarterly computation, treatment of provisional and ratified figures, and the publication calendar.
Defines the symbolic language of the institution: the glyph set, the material language and the four ideas (Signal, Ascent, Protection, Foundation) that BOSANAA and this website share. Gold is the reward, never the background.
Signal. Ascent. Protection. Foundation.
BOSANAA, the building concept, is organised around four ideas. The institution and this website read them in the same order: see, rise, secure, endure.
Signal
Vision, direction, intelligence, aspiration. The spire and gold ring at the apex that tell the world where the institution is going.
Ascent
Growth, progression, accumulation: broad at the base, narrowing toward possibility. Movement through a system, not a collection of disconnected pages.
Protection
Security, trust, stability, stewardship. The heavy members that frame and shield the core: a financial institution must appear safe enough to trust.
Foundation
Origins, infrastructure, continuity, memory. You cannot build ascent without foundation.
The Glyph Set Proposed
Drawn from the monumental architecture of Africa: the carved column, the recorded sign, the stepped ascent. Each glyph carries one reserved meaning, and the same meaning everywhere on this site: the register below is the single reference for every section symbol. Gold is the reward, never the background.
Six materials, six meanings
Each material in BOSANAA communicates one characteristic of the institution. The same six characteristics shape how this website is built.
Concrete
Mass, strength and durability: the visual language of institutional permanence. “We are built to last.”
Here: restrained grey tones, strong surfaces.Stone
Connects the institution to the earth and to monumental African architecture. Memory, place, permanence.
Here: warm neutrals that keep the interface from feeling sterile.Bronze & Gold
The accent of significance: excellence, achievement, illumination. Not the background. The reward.
Here: used for actions, active states, key figures and borders.Glass
Openness and visibility. The material that allows the institution to be seen into.
Here: published figures and methods, visible by design.Water
The plaza water feature: movement, life and continuity. Where concrete says “stay”, water says “move”.
Here: smooth, purposeful motion; never abrupt.Greenery
Gardens and terraces that keep the building from becoming a monument of dead material: growth, regeneration, human presence.
Here: organic marks inside a geometric system.
