In brief
- A fictional designer’s collection moves through verification, value, S₵, settlement and measurement.
- Each system records something different about the same piece of work.
- Nobody and nothing in this example is real.
Abstract architecture is easier to grasp when something moves through it. This worked example follows a fictional designer, Amina, and her fictional collection through every part of the Sanaa Sanifu Economy. Nobody in this story is a real person and no amount in it is real; it exists only to show the order of things.
Amina finishes a small fashion collection and publishes it through a platform she already uses, one that takes part in the economy. The platform submits the collection for verification. Once it passes, there is a dependable record: the work exists, it is attributed to her trusted identity, and it is what it claims to be. Only now can the economy reason about it.
The collection is valued under the published method, and policy decides how much of that value, if any, receives monetary recognition. Where she is eligible, Sanaa Credits are issued. They are held in her Sanaa Wallet; any transfer settles with a clear point of finality; and every movement is recorded in the Ledger.
1 · She finishes a collection
Creative production: the work exists.
2 · Her platform submits it for verification
The record begins.
3 · It is verified
Attributed to her trusted identity (S.I.). Now it can enter the economy.
4 · It is valued
Under the published method.
5 · Monetary recognition
Where eligible, S₵ is issued under monetary policy.
6 · Held, settled, recorded
Sanaa Wallet holds it; settlement gives finality; the Ledger records it.
7 · The economy counts
GCP, the Participation Index and platform count are updated.
Finally, the economy counts what happened. Her collection adds to Gross Creative Product, she is counted among active creators in the Participation Index, and her platform is counted too. None of those counts is about Amina personally: they are aggregates, published each quarter.
| System | What it recorded about the collection |
|---|---|
| Verification | That it exists, who made it, and that it is what it claims |
| S₵ | The value recognised and the credits issued, if eligible |
| S4 | Identity, holdings, the settled transfer and the ledger entry |
| SSI™ | An addition to GCP; one more active creator and platform in PI |
